Cornwall Council Consultation

Published: 13 September 2022

You may be aware that the current Public Spaces Protection Order creating seasonal restrictions for dogs on beaches in Cornwall will expire in April 2023. All PSPO’s are valid for a period of 3 years at which point they must be reviewed and where appropriate consulted upon.

The current restrictions can be found online https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/environment/animal-welfare-and-enforcement/dogs-on-beaches/

We are now seeking views as part of the formal consultation process regarding the existing restrictions. Any changes will be introduced by 1 April 2023 and will have considered the consultation responses received.

We are keen to hear from residents, groups and local communities about what they think about our proposals. We have a public consultation online at https://letstalk.gov.uk/dogsonbeaches2022 due to close 22 November 2022
